This week, we are reviewing controlling r words.  The consonant r prevents the vowel from making a sound in these words.

We are learning how to make words plural.  Sometimes, you need to remember to change the f to a v and add es.  Some words stay the same and some words change forms.

This week we are writing poetry, developing a deeper understanding of subject/verb agreement, and learning to spell words.

The homework for this week is as follows:

           Wednesday - Language Arts Today textbook page 207, numbers 6-20

          Thursday - Spelling page 51

There will be 2 tests this week.  On Thursday, we will have a short quiz on subject/verb agreement.  The weekly spelling test be on Friday.

All homework should be completed using cursive writing.

This week we are reviewing singular and plural possessive nouns.  In addition, we are working on writing a sequence ordered paragraph.  The rules that apply to writing a paragraph will be reviewed.
